Founded in 2007, switch aims to promote and show contemporary visual art in a public context.

Switch shows 8 video art works in 8 vacant spaces in a town centre in November, thus switching the use of the spaces. These works of moving image are back-projected onto coated windows creating large screens as a platform for the video works.

In 2008 the theme was ‘inside-out’
In 2009 the theme was ‘playfulness’ and
In 2010 the theme is ‘the scale of things’.

To date switch has shown works of artists from Washington DC, Dublin, Gothenburg, Dusseldorf, London, Cork, Istanbul, Chicago, Glasgow, Belfast, Ohio, Nenagh and Helsinki.
